This 8x10 acrylic painting on canvas was inspired by the bright skies and shining ocean on Singer Island in Florida. The canvas has a layer of modeling paste to create texture and there is a great deal of texture in this painting. No need for a frame. The sides are painted.
An artist since my early twenties, my painting career has taken me through over five decades of creative expression. From my early work's inspiration in 1960's Californian culture and the classic works of impressionists and also the era's contemporary artists like Flavia, through exploring the charm of natural and urban landscapes through the bold palettes of the seventies, to playing with form and abstraction in the pastels of the eighties, to exploring ancient spiritual numerology and mysticism through the language of art in the late 90's and early 2000's.
